Knight Online Proxy
A Knight Online proxy routes your client's server connection through a separate, static Türkiye IP, so your main character, merchant and alts each connect from their own IP.
WeProxy Knight Online packages give each port a dedicated IPv4 address that stays the same for the whole period. The client has no proxy setting, so KnightOnLine.exe traffic is routed over SOCKS5 with Proxifier; the rule is simple: one account or virtual machine, one IP.
Benefits
Why WeProxy for Knight Online?
Dedicated IP
Each port is assigned only to you; merchant, main character and alts stay separate with no shared IP.
Static IP Against Disconnects
The IP does not change during the package; a merchant waiting in the market is not dropped by an IP change.
Türkiye Location
Fresh IPs reserved for Knight Online exit from Türkiye; ping target is <40 ms, actual values depend on your line.

What is a Knight Online proxy used for?
A Knight Online proxy routes the connection your Knight Online client makes to the game server through a separate, fixed IP address instead of your home IP. The server sees the character connecting from that address. A proxy changes only the network layer; it does not change your character's in-game behaviour, the client files or the account's history.
These are the main reasons Knight Online players use a proxy:
- Merchant character. Keeping a merchant character that sits in the market for hours on a different IP from your main character separates the two accounts at the network level.
- Multiple clients. Many servers limit how many clients or accounts can connect from one IP. Giving each client its own IP means that limit applies to each client separately. The total number allowed still depends on the server's rules.
- Shared internet connection. When several people play Knight Online from the same home, dorm or office, they all share one public IP. A separate proxy IP for each player removes conflicts with per-IP limits.
- Consistent login history. Whether you log in from home, a laptop or another city, the server sees the same IP every time. This gives security checks a consistent login history.
- Clan teams. Players who run merchant, storage or support characters for a clan keep each character on its own IP so the accounts stay separate.
WeProxy Gaming Proxy packages are built for these jobs: Türkiye location, a dedicated static IP per port and monthly per-IP billing. The IPs work with an ISP/residential profile, and fresh IP addresses reserved for Knight Online traffic are kept separate from general pools. For other games, see the Metin2 proxy and Silkroad Online proxy pages; for the overall picture, see the gaming proxy use case.
Which proxy type fits Knight Online?
Knight Online is an MMORPG that needs long, uninterrupted sessions. If the exit IP changes mid-game, the client's connection to the server drops and the character disconnects. The key criterion is therefore an IP that stays fixed for the whole session and the whole package period.
| Job | Proxy type | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Daily play on your main character | Gaming Proxy, Knight Online package, SOCKS5 | Static IP per port, Türkiye location, fresh IPs reserved for the game |
| Merchant character waiting in the market | Gaming Proxy, 1 IP per character | The IP does not change during the period; the merchant account is separated from the main one |
| Multiple clients in virtual machines | Gaming Proxy, 1 IP per VM | Each machine exits from a single IP, which keeps the mapping easy to track |
| A Türkiye IP for web, forums and the launcher next to the game | Static Residential IPv4 | IPs from the Türk Telekom and Vodafone networks, HTTP and SOCKS5, fixed for the period |
| Pool with constantly changing IPs | Rotating Residential IPv4 — not recommended | An IP change drops the open session; built for data collection |
| Datacenter IP | Not recommended | Registered to hosting companies' ASNs; some servers filter these ranges |
The differences between proxy types are covered in detail in residential vs mobile vs datacenter vs ISP proxy.
SOCKS5 or HTTP for Knight Online?
Knight Online packages are offered with SOCKS or HTTP; choose SOCKS5 for the game client. An HTTP proxy is designed for web requests. SOCKS5 carries the TCP connection the application opens as it is, so the connection the Knight Online client makes to the server passes through the proxy. For details, see HTTP vs SOCKS5. Gaming Proxy packages provide IPv4 addresses; the Knight Online client connects to the server over IPv4.
How do you manage merchant and alt accounts in Knight Online?
The basic rule: one account, one IP. Accounts connecting from the same IP can be linked to each other in the server's records. When one account comes under review, other accounts sharing that IP can draw attention too. Spreading accounts across separate IPs cuts the network side of that link.
In practice:
- Assign each account its own proxy IP and keep the mapping in a spreadsheet. Do not hand an IP over to another account later.
- Do not use shared IPs. Other users' behaviour on the same address ends up in the same records as your accounts. In Gaming Proxy, every port is dedicated to you.
- Do not occasionally log in to a proxied account from your own connection without the proxy. A single direct login breaks the separation.
- Plan the number of IPs by how many clients you keep open at the same time. A main character, a merchant and one support character need three IPs.
- WeProxy packages have no thread or concurrent session limit. The limit is set by the server's own rules.
How do you use a Knight Online proxy in a virtual machine (VMware, VirtualBox)?
Many players who run multiple clients open each account in its own virtual machine. The simplest setup: install Proxifier inside each virtual machine, define a single proxy for that machine and write a rule for KnightOnLine.exe. This gives a one-to-one mapping between machine and IP.
If you run multiple clients on one PC without virtual machines, all clients go to the same proxy, because Proxifier rules match by application name. In that case, copy the game folder into a separate folder for each account and enter the full exe path in each rule (C:\KO_1\KnightOnLine.exe, C:\KO_2\KnightOnLine.exe). Private servers may ship the client under a different name; check the correct exe name in Task Manager while the game is running.
Does the character disconnect if the Knight Online proxy drops?
Yes. If the proxy connection drops, the client's connection to the server drops too and the character disconnects. That is why, in Knight Online, a fixed and stable proxy matters even more than low ping.
Common causes of disconnects and what to check:
- IP change. Rotating pools change the IP and the session drops. In Gaming Proxy the IP stays fixed for the package period.
- Your own line. If your home connection drops, the connection to the proxy drops as well. A proxy does not prevent outages on your own internet line.
- PC settings. For a merchant character, turn off sleep mode and Windows' automatic restarts.
- Proxy reachability. After a disconnect, first check that the proxy responds with the proxy checker and that the port is open with the port checker.
- Authentication. If Proxifier shows
407or an authentication error, copy the username and password from the panel again. For other error codes, see the proxy error codes guide.
How does a Knight Online proxy affect ping?
A proxy adds a relay point between your PC and the game server. Total latency depends on your distance to the proxy, the proxy's distance to the server and the quality of your own line.
WeProxy Gaming Proxy lists a ping target of <40 ms. This is a target, not a guarantee. Because the proxy is in Türkiye, the extra distance is shortest for players in Türkiye and for servers close to Türkiye. If the server is hosted in another country, traffic travels through Türkiye to that country, and the extra leg shows up as latency. If you play on a server abroad, test with a single IP first.
To keep latency low, use a wired connection, avoid large downloads on the same line, and measure ping with and without the proxy at the same time of day.
The Türkiye location has no UDP support. SOCKS5 carries the TCP connection the Knight Online client makes to the server. Which applications need UDP is explained in the UDP proxy guide.
How do you set up a Knight Online proxy?
The Knight Online client has no proxy field in its settings. Traffic is sent to the proxy with an application-level routing tool such as Proxifier. For a walkthrough with screenshots, see the Knight Online Proxifier guide.
- Choose the product and quantity. Open the Knight Online package on the Gaming Proxy page. Pick as many IPs as accounts you keep open at the same time, and choose SOCKS as the protocol.
- Get the details from the panel. Once the order is active, the host, port, username and password appear in the customer panel. You can also authorize with an IP whitelist instead of username/password.
- Add the proxy to Proxifier. Under Profile > Proxy Servers, enter the host and port, select SOCKS Version 5 as the protocol, enable authentication, enter the username and password, and run the connection test.
- Write a rule for the game exe. Under Profile > Proxification Rules, create a new rule, enter
KnightOnLine.exe(or your server's exe name) in the applications field and select the proxy you added as the action. If the launcher is a separate exe, add it to the same rule. - Verify the exit IP. Temporarily point a browser at the same proxy and check on the my IP tool that the IP and country match the values in the panel. A quick check from the command line:
curl -x "socks5h://USER:PASSWORD@HOST:PORT" https://api.ipify.org
- Run a login test. Start the game and log in with a single account. In Proxifier's connections window, confirm that the
KnightOnLine.exeline goes through the proxy, and play for a few minutes to make sure there are no disconnects. Then add the other clients one by one.
What rules and limits apply when using a proxy in Knight Online?
The server you play on sets the rules. Official servers run by the publisher usually forbid bots and cheat software and may limit how many clients can run at the same time. Private servers set their own rules; some allow multiple clients, others enforce a per-IP limit. Read your server's rules before using a proxy. A proxy changes only the network layer: it does not make prohibited software or behaviour allowed. Behaviour-based detection (movement patterns, action frequency, client checks) works independently of the IP.
What a proxy cannot do:
- It does not guarantee protection against bans or account restrictions.
- It does not restore a closed account.
- It does not bypass anti-cheat software and must not be used for that purpose.
The purposes WeProxy services may be used for are set out in the acceptable use policy.
