Measure TCP Connect Time

ICMP is not available on this server. The tool opens a TCP connection to the port you choose and records the time in milliseconds. The probe runs from the WeProxy server, not from your computer.

The measurement runs from the WeProxy server to the target. It does not show the latency from your computer. The number is the server-side TCP time toward the gateway.

This measures TCP connect time, not ICMP.

Why this tool?

Why Ping Test (TCP)?

Ping Test makes up to five TCP attempts to the port you choose. Min, average, max and loss come back in one response. SSH, database and email ports stay closed for security.

  • 01Measures TCP connect time, not ICMP
  • 02Runs 1 to 5 attempts and returns them together
  • 03Rejects private addresses and sensitive service ports
  • 04Shows server-side delay to a proxy gateway port

How it works

Step-by-step process

01

Enter a Target

Type a domain or a public IP. Localhost and private addresses are rejected.

02

Choose a Port

80, 443, 8989 or the proxy port from your dashboard all work. SSH, database and email ports are refused.

03

Read the Summary

Each attempt is listed, then min, average, max and loss percentage.

Tips

  • Try the gateway on 443, 1080 or 8989.
  • Read the note on the result card: the time is not from your computer.
  • Loss at 100 percent suggests the port is closed or blocked.
