Read the DNS Records for a Domain
Query A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, NS, TXT, SOA and CAA from the WeProxy server through 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8. The result is not your computer’s DNS cache.
If a proxy gateway hostname resolves to the wrong address, the client connects to the wrong host. This tool asks public resolvers for the types you pick and says when a type has no record.

Why this tool?
Why DNS Lookup?
DNS Lookup shows which IP a proxy hostname uses, plus MX and TXT, on one screen. It does not measure a browser DNS leak. Use the DNS leak guide for that check.
- 01Lists A, AAAA, MX, NS, TXT, SOA and CAA records
- 02An empty type is not treated as a failure
- 03Shows TTL on A and AAAA rows when the resolver returns it
- 04Confirms the IP a proxy gateway hostname resolves to
How it works
Step-by-step process
Enter a Domain
Type a name that contains a dot. IP addresses and localhost are rejected.
Pick Record Types
Select the types you need. With no selection the default list, including A, MX and TXT, is queried.
Copy the Result
Each type is its own table. Copy places the JSON on your clipboard.
Tips
- Before connecting, compare the gateway A record with the server address in the panel.
- A high TTL means a DNS change will not show up everywhere at once.
- An empty TXT row can mean the verification record is not published yet.
