Read a Domain or IP Record with RDAP
We use RDAP instead of port 43. Registrar, dates and name servers are summarized. The registrant name, phone and address are not shown.
Read which network an exit IP belongs to, or when a domain expires, from the RDAP record. The result does not include personal data. Redacted fields are dropped.

Why this tool?
Why WHOIS Lookup?
WHOIS finds the RDAP server for a domain from the IANA bootstrap list, and uses rdap.org for an IP. The card shows registrar, created, expiry, days left and name servers.
- 01Detects a domain or an IP automatically
- 02Summarizes registrar, dates and name servers
- 03Does not show registrant name, phone or address
- 04Links an IP result to IP Lookup with the same address
How it works
Step-by-step process
Enter a Query
Type a domain or a public IPv4 or IPv6 address. Private addresses are rejected.
Read the Summary
Registrar, dates, days left, name servers and status appear on the card.
Open the Raw Record
The raw RDAP section is trimmed JSON. Personal vCard fields are removed.
Tips
- The IP Lookup link on an IP result opens that same address.
- If days left are low, put the domain renewal on your calendar.
- Do not look for a person’s name in the raw record. Those fields are removed.
