When choosing a proxy, the real question is often not “which brand?” but which IP type fits your work. Residential, mobile, datacenter, and ISP lines offer different network identities. The wrong type hurts both cost and success rate: you either stay on an unnecessarily expensive line or hit blocks on a pool that does not match the job. A quick look at proxy types

- Residential: real-user / ISP-assigned home IPs — when you want to look close to “normal traffic”
- Mobile: carrier (4G/5G) exits — when apps, some social, or ad flows need carrier identity
- Datacenter: data-center pools — high speed and throughput when a “home user” look is not required
- ISP: ISP-sourced, usually static addresses — long sessions and higher trust-score needs
Residential proxy: when is it the right choice?
Residential stands out when the target should see traffic close to real users: local SERP, account sessions, ad-view checks, and many scraping or automation scenarios. When city or country targeting matters, residential is often preferred because geo mismatch hurts both data quality and account risk.
On WeProxy, rotating and static residential packages appear on separate cards. Choose based on many short requests versus long sessions. GB-based rotating is practical for trials and variable volume; static residential kicks in when you must keep the same exit for a long time. “Make everything residential” can be wrong: for pure speed / whitelist work, datacenter is smarter; if a carrier is required, look at mobile.
What sticky and rotating residential are for
Sticky keeps the same exit for a session: post-login flows that must not break, antidetect / multi-profile work, payment or cart steps. Rotating changes IP by request or interval for high-volume browsing: SERP crawling, broad scrapes, distributed checks.

Datacenter proxy: balancing speed and cost
Datacenter is strong when you want high throughput and low latency: dense requests, speed-critical pipelines, whitelistable static DC IPs. If a “home user” look is not required, datacenter is usually more efficient; forcing the same job onto residential inflates cost and pool use.

ISP proxy: trust score for long sessions
ISP proxy stands out with ISP-sourced static addresses for long-lived sessions and higher trust needs — when scraping or automation says “do not change IP often; keep identity fixed.” It solves a sticky-residential-like job on a different product line: ISP-grade route, fixed identity, long-lived session.

Do not assume the same “180+ countries” on every line — the network spans 180+ locations, but static ISP and some static lines may offer a narrower country list. Choosing types for TR, EU, and US work
Geography does not lock type choice but filters it. Turkey, Europe, and US exits are common; the WeProxy network spans 180+ countries, and locations highlights include TR, DE, UK, NL, FR, US. Coverage varies by product line. Do not think “TR only”; even when the market is TR, EU, or US, the scenario still picks the type (resi / mobile / DC / ISP).
- TR local SERP / ads: often residential + country/city targeting; sticky if there is a session
- EU multi-country scrape: rotating residential or (when suitable) datacenter; plan country rotation
- US account / long session: sticky residential or ISP; mobile only when a carrier is required
