Streaming Proxies

Kick Proxy

A Kick proxy routes your kick.com traffic through a specific IP instead of your own connection, separating team accounts at the network level and letting you test streams from other countries. One static residential IP per account suits management and bot accounts; rotating residential IPs suit regional tests.

Which proxy when?

Sticky or static proxies suit long sessions and account consistency; rotating proxies fit high-volume crawling and distributed requests. Pick the closest product below.

IPv6 proxy packages are a cost-effective option, but the target site must support IPv6. You can check whether a site supports IPv6 with the IPv6 Checker. If you need help, contact our support team.

What is a Kick proxy used for?

A Kick proxy sends your web, app or API traffic to kick.com out through a specific IP address instead of your own connection. Kick sees the country, carrier and network type of the connection through that IP. A proxy changes only the network layer; it does not change the account's history, the stream content or viewer and follower counts.

Legitimate uses of a Kick proxy:

  • Account separation in creator teams. When an agency or production team manages several streamers' channels, backup accounts and moderation bot accounts from one connection, all of them link back to a single network source. Giving each account its own fixed IP separates the accounts at the network level.
  • Account security. When team members log in from different cities, Kick may treat each login as a new location. A fixed exit IP keeps the login location consistent.
  • Regional stream testing. Checking whether a stream opens in target countries, which quality options are offered and how stable playback is.
  • Category and streamer research. Reviewing how active a category is in a given country and language, and how home page recommendations look from different regions.
  • Moderation tools. Running chat bots and moderation tools that use Kick's official developer API behind a fixed IP.

For the overall framework of regional market research, see the market research use case page. The same approach applies on the Twitch proxy and YouTube proxy pages.

Which proxy type should I choose for Kick?

The choice depends on whether the job runs on a logged-in account or without one. A logged-in account should connect from the same IP every time. For availability tests and category checks done without an account, a changing IP is not a problem.

Datacenter IPs are not recommended for Kick account management. These addresses are registered to hosting companies' ASNs; login checks and bot protection pages can appear more often on those ranges. For a comparison of network types, read the residential, mobile, datacenter and ISP proxy guide.

How much traffic does watching Kick use?

Rotating residential and mobile products are billed per GB. Traffic depends on the stream's bitrate: watching a channel streamed at 6,000 kbps for one hour at source quality transfers about 2.7 GB. For availability tests, short playback at a low quality setting is enough. For jobs that need long viewing sessions, static residential IPv4 with unlimited traffic per IP is more predictable.

How do Kick creator teams separate accounts?

The basic rule: one account, one IP, one browser profile. Accounts connecting from the same network can be linked on the platform side. When one of them comes under review, other accounts sharing the same network source can be affected.

Points to watch in practice:

  • Use the moderator role instead of sharing passwords. For chat management, give team members moderator rights on their own accounts. Passing the streamer's main account password around the team is a security risk, with or without a proxy.
  • Turn on two-factor authentication. The main channel and all bot accounts should have two-factor authentication enabled.
  • Assign a fixed IP to each account. Keep the account-to-IP mapping in a sheet and never hand an IP over to another account later.
  • Do not mix proxied and direct logins. Opening the same account through the proxy one day and from your home connection the next breaks the separation and can trigger new location checks.
  • Use a session ID on rotating products. Add a session ID to the username to open a sticky session per account, so the IP does not change mid-session. The sticky vs rotating proxy guide explains the logic.

Should the Kick stream key and OBS traffic go through a proxy?

No. OBS stream output is designed to connect directly to Kick's ingest server using the stream URL and stream key from the creator dashboard. Routing the video upload through a proxy adds an extra network hop, raises latency and the risk of drops, and burns traffic quickly on per-GB products. Use the proxy for low-traffic jobs such as the dashboard, chat tools and bots. Never share the stream key; if you suspect it leaked, generate a new one.

Time zone, language and leak checks

If the IP shows Türkiye but the browser time zone is America/Toronto and the language is en-US, the session contradicts itself. In the browser profile, set the time zone to the IP's country (Europe/Istanbul for Türkiye) and the language to the target audience. WebRTC and DNS leaks can expose your real IP alongside the proxy; for a checklist see the DNS leak and WebRTC guide.

How do you test a Kick stream from other countries?

Streamers and production teams want to confirm that a stream reaches viewers in target countries without problems. Kick delivers video to viewers as HLS segments over HTTPS; this traffic runs over TCP and works with HTTP and SOCKS5 proxies.

A regional test consists of these steps:

  1. Open a sticky residential session for the target country (and city, if needed).
  2. Open the channel page without logging in and check that the stream loads.
  3. Note the quality options offered, the initial load time and any buffering pauses during playback.
  4. Repeat the same test with a rotating mobile IP to represent mobile viewers.
  5. Compare the results side by side across countries.

The proxy adds its own network path to the measurement. The measured times are therefore not identical to the experience of a real viewer in that country. Read the tests as a comparison between countries and as a "does it open, does it cut out" check rather than as absolute values. For connection errors and timeouts, see the proxy error codes guide.

How do you research Kick categories and streamers by region?

Brands working with streamers, agencies and streamers planning to enter a new category want to know how active a category is in a given country and language.

Official API. Kick has published an official API for developers. Prefer the data the API provides; the official channel is more stable and consistent with platform rules. Tools that imitate the site's internal endpoints can break without notice.

Web interface. Home page recommendations and category orderings can differ by the visitor's country and language. To see what a viewer in Türkiye sees, you need to open the page from a Türkiye IP without logging in. Rotating residential IPs suit this job. Keep the request rate low, do not collect personal data (username lists, chat contents) and wait when you receive a 429 response.

Why can Kick show a verification page?

The kick.com web interface uses bot protection against automated traffic. Requests from datacenter IPs, at very high rates or from clients that do not behave like a browser can be redirected to a verification page. A residential IP can lower this likelihood, but it is not a way to get around bot protection. If the verification page appears often, lower your request rate and check whether the job can be done with the official API.

How country, city and ASN targeting work is explained in the proxy geo-targeting guide.

How do Kick moderation bots and chat tools work with a proxy?

A moderation bot built on the official API usually works without a proxy too. A proxy helps in these cases:

  • The bot runs in several environments (local machine, server, a team member's device) and you want the bot account to always appear from the same IP.
  • A corporate firewall or a third-party dashboard only allows a specific exit IP.
  • You run bots for several channels from the same server and want to separate the bot accounts at the network level.

A proxy does not raise API or chat limits. Limits apply per application, token and account; trying to get around them by switching IPs does not work and goes against the developer rules. When you get a 429, wait, and keep the bot's message rate low.

WeProxy packages have no limit on threads or concurrent sessions. Even if a bot keeps a connection open all the time, the session count is not an issue on the proxy side.

When do you need a Türkiye location for Kick work?

When the management accounts of a channel that streams to a Turkish audience connect from a Türkiye IP, the picture is consistent with the account's language, stream times and registered details. A Türkiye location is also needed for:

  • Checking which quality options a stream reaches viewers in Türkiye with and how stable it is.
  • Reviewing how Turkish-language streams and category pages look from Türkiye.
  • Verifying how sponsored streams and brand integrations targeting Türkiye look when live.

At WeProxy, Türkiye static residential IPv4 packages come with IPs on the Türk Telekom and Vodafone networks and support HTTP and SOCKS5. Türkiye packages have no UDP. Since the Kick web interface, video playback and API traffic run over TCP, this is not a limitation for these jobs.

How do you set up a Kick proxy?

  1. Choose the product. For account and bot management, Static Residential IPv4 (for the US, Static ISP IPv4); for regional testing and research, Rotating Residential IPv4. Plan as many static IPs as you have accounts.
  2. Buy in the panel and get the details. After payment, host, port, username and password appear in the customer panel. Instead of username/password you can also authorize by IP whitelist; both work on HTTP and SOCKS5.
  3. Enter them in your tool. In the browser profile, bot configuration or management tool, set the proxy type (HTTP or SOCKS5), host, port, username and password. To convert between formats, use the proxy format converter.
  4. Verify the exit. Open the my IP tool in the proxied profile and check that the IP, country and carrier are what you expect. Quick check from the command line:
curl -x "http://USER:PASSWORD@HOST:PORT" https://api.ipify.org
  1. Run a first test. Log in with a single account and browse normally for a few minutes. If a verification code is requested on login from a new location, complete it; this is a normal step. Run a bot first on a single channel at a low message rate.

Which rules and limits apply when using a Kick proxy?

Kick's terms of service and community guidelines prohibit artificially inflating viewer, follower and chat engagement. View-bots and fake viewers, follow-bots, subscription or chat activity from fake accounts and automated spam fall into this scope. When Kick detects such activity, it can suspend or ban the channel. Using a proxy does not make these activities compliant, and WeProxy may not be used for them.

What a proxy cannot do:

  • It gives no guarantee against bans or suspensions. Platform decisions also rely on account behaviour, device signals and content rules.
  • It does not restore a suspended channel or account.
  • It is not a tool for getting past API limits, chat limits or bot protection.
  • It does not change the browser fingerprint, cookies or two-factor authentication.

The purposes for which WeProxy services may be used are set out in the acceptable use policy.
