An antidetect browser proxy assigns a separate exit IP to each profile in a multi-profile browser, isolating profiles from each other at the network level. For logged-in profiles, one static residential or ISP IP per profile, combined with matching timezone and WebRTC settings, gives the most consistent setup.
Sticky or static proxies suit long sessions and account consistency; rotating proxies fit high-volume crawling and distributed requests. Pick the closest product below.
IPv6 proxy packages are a cost-effective option, but the target site must support IPv6. You can check whether a site supports IPv6 with the IPv6 Checker. If you need help, contact our support team.
Antidetect or multi-profile browsers create isolated browser environments, each with its own cookie jar, local storage, cache and fingerprint parameters (user agent, screen resolution, timezone, language, canvas and WebGL values). That isolation lives in the browser layer. Which IP a profile uses to reach the internet is decided by the proxy. Ten profiles without a proxy all connect from the same home or office IP, no matter how different their fingerprints are.
Most of these browsers offer one proxy field per profile and accept the standard format: protocol (HTTP or SOCKS5) plus host:port:user:pass. WeProxy proxies are delivered in this format, so setup follows the same logic regardless of the tool.
Legitimate uses include:
For platform-specific details, see the Instagram proxy and Facebook proxy pages.
The deciding question is whether the profile logs into an account. A logged-in profile should connect from the same IP every time it opens. For test and check jobs without a login, a short sticky session is enough.
| Job | Proxy type | Session mode | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Agency client accounts (daily logins) | Static Residential IPv4 | Static, 1 IP per profile | ISP-sourced IP stays the same for the package period (up to 30 days), unlimited traffic per IP |
| Brand accounts in the US market | Static ISP IPv4 | Static | US location only, real ISP routes, long fixed sessions |
| Accounts and tests that need a mobile network | Mobile 4G/5G Proxy (Real SIM) | Fixed, rotation on demand | Real carrier IP; supports HTTP only |
| Short QA and localization tests | Rotating Residential IPv4 | Sticky (up to 24 hours) | Country and city targeting, a separate session ID per test |
| Ad verification (regional checks) | Rotating Residential or Rotating Mobile IPv4 | Sticky (up to 60 minutes on mobile) | Real user network view from the target country, HTTP and SOCKS5 |
Datacenter IPs are not recommended for logged-in profiles. These addresses are registered to hosting companies' ASNs, and many platforms apply extra verification to logins from those ranges. For a general comparison of IP types, read residential vs mobile vs datacenter vs ISP proxy.
A static IP is an address that stays yours for the whole package period. The profile opens from the same IP today, tomorrow and two weeks from now. A sticky session pins one IP from a rotating pool for a set time: you add a session ID to the username, and the same exit is kept for up to 24 hours in the residential pool and up to 60 minutes in the mobile pool. When the time runs out, or the device in the pool goes offline, the IP can change.
This difference matters for long-lived accounts. For a client account you log into every day, a sticky session means the account connects from different IPs on different days. A static IP removes that change. For a QA test that lasts a few hours, a sticky session is enough, and releasing the IP after the test is an advantage. The details are in the sticky vs rotating proxy guide.
The value of an antidetect browser comes from profiles not sharing signals. Even when profiles have different fingerprints, if they share an IP, the platform can link them through the network source. When one account is restricted, other accounts on the same IP can come under review too.
Points to watch in practice:
Two profiles sharing one IP technically works, but it defeats the purpose of separation. Plan as many IPs as you have profiles.
The IP address is only one layer of the session. The browser also reports its timezone, language, location permission and WebRTC candidates to the page. If these values contradict the IP, the session looks inconsistent.
If the IP appears in Türkiye while the profile timezone is America/New_York, JavaScript on the page can read that mismatch. Set the profile timezone to the IP's country: Europe/Istanbul for Türkiye, Europe/Berlin for Germany. Most antidetect browsers can fill in the timezone automatically from the proxy IP; check the automatic value anyway. Choose the Accept-Language header and browser language for the target audience (tr-TR, de-DE).
WebRTC is how the browser gathers IP candidates for audio and video connections. Host and STUN candidates can be created over UDP sockets independent of the HTTP proxy and can expose your real IP to the page. In the profile settings, set WebRTC to "disabled" or "use proxy IP". Then confirm on a WebRTC test page that the srflx candidate matches the proxy exit.
A DNS leak happens when the target domain is resolved by your own resolver before the proxy tunnel. With an HTTP proxy, the browser passes the domain to the proxy in the CONNECT request. With SOCKS5, the query can go to the local resolver unless remote resolution (the socks5h logic) is used. If the browser's own DoH setting runs outside the proxy, the resolver sees your real IP. The test method and fixes are covered in detail in the DNS leak and WebRTC guide.
Short checklist:
No. A proxy works at the network layer; the browser fingerprint comes from the browser itself. The two layers have separate responsibilities, and one does not make up for gaps in the other.
| Signal | Which layer sets it | Does the proxy affect it? |
|---|---|---|
| Exit IP, country, ASN | Proxy | Yes |
| IP seen by the DNS resolver | Proxy + client settings | Only with remote resolution |
| WebRTC candidates | Browser | No, closed by browser policy |
| Cookies, local storage | Browser profile | No |
| Canvas, WebGL, fonts, screen | Browser profile | No |
| Timezone, language | Browser profile | No, aligned manually to the IP |
| OS fingerprint at the TCP/IP level | Proxy server's network stack | Partly |
The last row is less widely known. Some systems passively estimate the other side's operating system from TCP header values (TTL, window size, option order); p0f is the well-known tool for this method. A profile can present itself as a Windows browser while the TCP fingerprint points to a Linux server. WeProxy's Static Residential IPv4 product lists p0f OS spoofing among its features. This feature concerns the network-layer fingerprint; it does not replace the browser fingerprint.
No proxy or browser combination makes you "undetectable". Platforms evaluate account behaviour, device signals and history together. The right goal is for each profile to be consistent internally and separate from other profiles.
host:port:user:pass; to convert between formats, use the proxy format converter. The Real SIM mobile proxy supports HTTP only. Türkiye static residential packages offer HTTP and SOCKS5; these packages have no UDP.curl -x "http://USER:PASSWORD@HOST:PORT" https://api.ipify.org
The most common errors in antidetect browsers are authentication failures, protocol mismatches and timeouts.
For a detailed explanation of the codes, see the proxy error codes guide.
Antidetect browsers and proxies are tools that legitimate teams use to separate accounts and test environments. Platform terms of service separately define who may open how many accounts and for what purpose. Many platforms prohibit fake accounts, impersonation, opening a new account to replace a restricted one, and fake engagement. A proxy does not change these rules.
What a proxy cannot do:
For agencies managing client accounts, the safest approach is to use the access methods the account owner authorizes (business manager, team roles) and to use the proxy to organize the network side of that access. The purposes for which WeProxy services may be used are set out in the acceptable use policy.
