Growtopia Proxy

Growtopia’s game connection uses UDP. Static Residential IPv4 outside Türkiye carries SOCKS5 + UDP and gives each account its own IP that stays fixed for the period.

For Growtopia, Static Residential IPv4 in a location outside Türkiye is recommended instead of a game-specific package; these locations support SOCKS5 + UDP. Plan one IP per account, choose a country close to you or the game server, and route the game with a SOCKS5 tool that forwards UDP.

Benefits

Why WeProxy for Growtopia?

SOCKS5 + UDP support

Static residential locations outside Türkiye carry UDP, so Growtopia’s UDP-based game connection leaves via the proxy.

Fixed IP per account

The IP stays the same for the package period; connect each GrowID from its own IP and keep the account–IP pairing.

Locations in 10 countries

Choose the one closest to you or the server, from locations such as the US, Germany, the Netherlands, the UK and Hong Kong.

What is a Growtopia proxy used for?

A Growtopia proxy routes the connection the game opens to the server through a separate, fixed IP address instead of your home connection. The server sees the account connecting from that address. A proxy only changes the network layer; it does not change the account’s in-game behaviour, the device information or your GrowID.

The main situations where Growtopia players use a proxy:

  • Separating accounts at the network level. Players who use a second account for storage or trading next to their main account connect each account from its own fixed IP. A problem with one account is then not linked to the other on the network side.
  • Shared networks. On networks where many people use the same IP, such as schools, dorms or internet cafés, other people’s actions stay attached to that IP. Your own fixed IP separates you from that mix.
  • Session continuity. When your home connection’s IP changes, the game connection can drop. An exit address that stays the same for the whole package period reduces these drops.

WeProxy has no dedicated Gaming Proxy package for Growtopia. The packages on this page come from the Static Residential IPv4 product, and locations outside Türkiye are recommended for Growtopia because only those locations support UDP. For the general picture of proxies in games, see the gaming proxy use case page.

Which proxy type is right for Growtopia?

Growtopia’s game connection uses UDP. So the proxy you choose must meet two conditions at once: the IP must stay fixed for the whole session, and the proxy must carry UDP over SOCKS5. Among WeProxy products, the option that meets both is Static Residential IPv4 in a location outside Türkiye.

JobProxy typeWhy
Main account and second account, 1 IP per accountStatic Residential IPv4, location outside TürkiyeFixed IP for the period, HTTP and SOCKS5 + UDP, sessions up to 30 days
Exit from the Türkiye locationStatic Residential IPv4, Türkiye packageNot suitable; Türkiye packages have HTTP and SOCKS5, no UDP
ISP-sourced static IP in the USStatic ISP IPv4Not suitable for Growtopia; HTTP and SOCKS5 are listed, UDP is not
Game sessionsRotating proxyNot suitable; an IP change breaks the connection

Static Residential IPv4 addresses are registered to real internet service providers. Datacenter IPs sit in hosting companies’ ASNs, and some game services look at those ranges more strictly. The differences between proxy types are explained in residential vs mobile vs datacenter vs ISP proxy.

Why does Growtopia need a UDP-capable proxy?

The Growtopia client talks to the game server over ENet, a UDP-based protocol. A standard SOCKS5 connection carries TCP; for UDP traffic, the proxy must support the SOCKS5 UDP ASSOCIATE command (RFC 1928). With a proxy that carries TCP only, game traffic either does not get through or leaves outside the proxy, from your home IP. That is why reaching the login screen is not a sufficient test; the real check is entering a world and playing.

Both sides therefore have to carry UDP:

  • Proxy side. Static Residential IPv4 locations outside Türkiye support SOCKS5 + UDP. Türkiye packages offer HTTP and SOCKS5, not UDP. Static ISP IPv4 and the Türkiye-located Gaming Proxy packages have no UDP either.
  • Client side. The tool that routes the game to the proxy must also forward UDP over SOCKS5. On desktop, use a routing tool that supports SOCKS5 UDP; on a phone or emulator, use a SOCKS5 client that can forward UDP. If you use Proxifier or a similar tool, make sure UDP forwarding via SOCKS5 is enabled in the tool.

An overview of UDP-capable products is on the UDP proxies page, and the UDP proxy guide explains the relationship between UDP and SOCKS5 in detail.

How do you test UDP routing?

Some routing tools block UDP traffic they do not support; others send it directly, outside the proxy. In the second case, TCP traffic leaves through the proxy while the game connection leaves from your home IP, and account separation breaks without you noticing. Check the following:

  • In the tool’s connection log, confirm that UDP lines for the game process go through the proxy.
  • If you can get past the login screen and enter a world, game traffic is being routed. If it hangs on the login screen, UDP routing is missing.
  • Turn off the tool’s default “direct” rule for the game process, so that when the proxy is not working the connection fails instead of opening from your home IP.

How do you separate several Growtopia accounts?

The core rule: one account, one IP. Bind each account to its own fixed IP and do not change the pairing.

  • Keep an account–IP table. Write down which GrowID connects through which proxy. Do not hand an IP over to another account later.
  • Do not log in without the proxy. Opening the account once from your home connection breaks the network separation. A setup with missing UDP routing has the same effect.
  • Keep the location fixed. Connecting an account from a German IP one day and a US IP the next undoes the consistency a static IP gives you. Keep the location and IP you chose for an account when you renew the package.
  • IP is not the only signal. Games may use signals such as device identifiers besides the IP. Accounts opened from the same device can be linked at the device level even when they connect from different IPs.
  • No concurrent session limit. WeProxy packages have no thread or concurrent session limit; the game’s rules set the limit.

How do you use a Growtopia proxy on a phone or emulator?

Growtopia runs on desktop, Android and iOS. The routing method depends on the platform, but on every platform the tool must forward UDP over SOCKS5.

  • Windows/macOS client. The game has no proxy setting of its own. A routing tool that supports SOCKS5 UDP is used with a rule for the game executable (Growtopia.exe).
  • Android emulator. The emulator runs as a process on your computer; you can write the routing rule for the emulator’s main process. Find the process name in Task Manager. All instances started from the same emulator file fall under the same rule; to give instances different IPs, use a separate SOCKS5 client app that can forward UDP inside each instance.
  • Phone. The manual proxy field in Wi-Fi settings is for HTTP proxies, does not carry UDP, and not every app uses it. To route all app traffic, use a proxy client that supports SOCKS5 UDP and creates a device-wide tunnel.

Whichever method you choose, verify the routing by opening the My IP tool in a browser inside the device or emulator. This check shows the TCP exit; test that game traffic is routed by entering a world.

How does a proxy affect ping in Growtopia?

With a proxy, packets go to the proxy server first and from there to the game server. Total latency is the sum of the time from you to the proxy and from the proxy to the game server. Location choice therefore affects ping directly.

The Static Residential IPv4 locations outside Türkiye are the US, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and Hong Kong. Choose a location close to you or to the game server. For a player connecting from Türkiye, European locations are geographically closer; the result still depends on the route to the game server. Before deciding, compare in-game latency with and without the proxy; if you plan IPs for several accounts, try a single IP first.

High latency shows up as delayed placing, breaking and item collection. Disconnects during trades usually come from IP changes or an unstable connection; a static IP removes the first cause.

How do you set up a Growtopia proxy?

  1. Choose the product and location. In Static Residential IPv4, choose a location outside Türkiye that is close to you or the game server. Plan one IP per account.
  2. Get the details from the panel. After payment, host, port, username and password appear in the customer panel. You can also authorize with an IP whitelist.
  3. Define the SOCKS5 server. Enter host, port, SOCKS Version 5, username and password in your routing tool; in Proxifier these fields are under Profile → Proxy Servers → Add. Make sure UDP forwarding via SOCKS5 is enabled in the tool. On an emulator or phone, enter the same details in a UDP-capable SOCKS5 client app.
  4. Write a rule for the game. Create a rule for Growtopia.exe (or the emulator process), assign the proxy and turn off direct connections for the game process.
  5. Verify the exit. Check on the My IP tool that the IP matches the panel and shows the expected country.
  6. Run a login test. Log in with one account, enter a world, play for a few minutes and confirm the connection stays up. If the game hangs on the login screen, UDP traffic is not being routed; go back to the UDP section above. For authentication and port errors, see the proxy error codes guide.

Which rules apply when using a Growtopia proxy?

Growtopia’s rules are set by the publisher’s terms of use and the in-game rules. These rules usually forbid cheat programs, automation and multi-account use outside the rules. Read the current rules before playing and stay within them. A proxy only changes the network layer; behaviour-based detection, device checks and moderator decisions are independent of the IP.

What a proxy cannot do:

  • It does not guarantee protection from bans or account closures.
  • It does not affect or bypass anti-cheat systems.
  • It does not restore an account closed for rule violations.

For a similar setup in mobile strategy games, see the Lords Mobile proxy page. What WeProxy services may be used for is set out in the acceptable use policy.
